Kind of an odd question but if a snail were to kind of take a cruise across a large piece of watermelon coral or any kind of plate coral would it leave a trail of destruction , as a result of a munchie path? I am trying to figure out where to place a large piece of watermelon coral in my tank. I have about 6 snails, and a sea urchin running around and some times my rock work or coral placement has been shifted during the night.

your watermelon enchino should be fine with snails. I dont think snails have ever touched my enchino. Not to sure about the urchin though.

The Urchin is probably the biggest culprit in the tank. I have found trails in the coral line algae on the rocks were something has taken a stroll over the rock eating everything it is path. I really should keep on eye on the urchin as I am very fond of Watermelon and don't want to make it a buffet for an invert. I hope the snails will be ok, I have 2 very large snails in the tank. Mexican turbo snails I think they are called.

Your right, Im over the urchin. It eats algae of the rockwork and leaves paths all over the place, looks bad in the tank. Whats the best way to get him out? He keeps knocking stuff over as well. Does anyone want an urchin? I like the nickname mexican bulldozers, I have found out why they would be called that.
