I use the rules of business. If everybody pays the high price for any item, the manufacture (grower) will keep prices high. If less people buy the item, the manufacture has to lower price to gain some revenue. (Supply and demand)

...have you been to this place? This isn't your average fish store. He has a hand full of employees last I checked and it's a beautiful shop...plus this is a hobby not a used car. I understand shopping around for better prices on equipment and even everyday coral but people have to consider this guy has overhead and how he has to keep an environment for these corals. Just a thought I don't know the vivid people or anything, I have only been in that store once months ago.

I know the owners there (Vivid). They always have very healthy coral and fish. I order a lot from them since they are only a few blocks away from my home. They are very knowledgeable, and handle all my orders with efficiency. I'm not knocking Vivid at all, I love the place. I'm just not looking to pay that much for a frag if I don't have to.

Once my new tank comes in, then I'll stock that baby up with nice pieces from vivid. This coral is more of an impulse buy for me. lol

sorry to say that appears to be the going rate for the frag. kinda like the bubblegum millie. it is one of the expensive ones. if you get a frag for cheaper i am sure it will be a much smaller piece. i got my frag from them at RAP. honestly it has not grown much at all finally coloring up some.
if you do know dave and you are a good customer maybe he will offer you a discount. that way you know it is the real deal too.
