Purposal to ban on 57 coral specials that we've all known to love based on false and exaggerated data by tree huggers, 83 in total. Scary considering the money these people get are from average citizens like ourselves. With disregard to economical consequences they take all means to lobby and push their misguided agenda.

hope for the best 'cause a lot of us will be out of a means of income if they get their way.. :-/

yep. It is funny how you can be a happy reefer interested in preventing global warming or whaling and all of a sudden your change is going toward the banning of corals that science knows little about, and stands to know a lot less about without the help of hobbyists.

Did anyone ever stop to think that in this age of global change, we captive shepherds of coral may be a coral species best chance of long term survival?

They don't want answers on how to solve problems. That would end their means of aquiring more money for research. Once research on how to fix the supposed problem is found. The money stops.
Have/had many friends that were desert rats. Of course they all brought tortoises home over the years. Many breeding them to success and are members of some society willing to reintroduce them back in the wild. Government says they wouldn't know how to forage for themselves in the desert. Amazing how you don't need to train an animal on how to eat. Especially a grazing animal. It will instinctively start to graze on whatever it deems as food and naturally turn away from something potentially harmful to it without ever being trained. But government knows better.
