Right now I'm just dosing Red Sea Alk and calcium and Kent tech m.
Was looking at red seas coral colors pack.

Do you use test for iodide or just small doses?

No, I did not test for iodide. I was only dosing 5ml a week. So IMO, was such a small amount, that I did not bother to test. I stop test my water after I had my and biopellet dialed in.

I need to find a doser so I can dial in this tank better. Have the memory of a gnat and forget to dose everyday

What brand Alk, Cal and Mag are you using?

I currently dose ESV B-Ionic's Alk, Cal and Mag by doser. I keep hearing about NO3 PO4 X. I'm thinking of switching to kent M and throwing the NO on the 3rd doser pump.
Reef Energy A&B Daily for the last few weeks. Gotta say it is making a difference, very noticeable in my SPS
I spot feed my LPS with whatever I'm feed once a week. In addition I rotate Oyster & Phyto feast and Coral Frenzy.

I use BRS ca/alk/mag...reefenergy has really helped improved my growth and color saturation..I will defiantly use it again on my new tank, whenever I get it wet..why are you dosing NO3/PO4? Is your NO3&PO4 really high or out of balance? Idk, I think that phyto is a PO4 in a bottle..defiantly get a doser. after I got it dialed in, I pretty much forget about it(beside remembering to mix my new batch of supplements)..

Hmmm no nothing pops up on my hanna phos kit, but Im constantly battling cyano (red and green) then when I get that to calm down my dinos bloom so I figure they have to be feeding on something.

if you are already dosing a amino acids you probably will not tell the difference but the red sea is a two part one vit & amino acids the other is a energy source(food) for corals so you get more out of the red sea because it is just not a amino acid( basic glucose)

some time you get a false reading because the bacteria is absorbing the nutrients as it is released into the water from the source try a light gravel vac to your sand bed and be careful as not to stir up to much waste and detritus also a good remedy is Dr tims waste away it will help break down sludge by introducing a bacteria that will consume the waste that may be causing your problem . Also check your main pump and power heads to ensure they are clean and working at full capacity to get that waste from settling and be able to skim out and maybe caught into your sock . also change you sock regularly to ensure the export of waste that is caught up into it!
