Yeah, they do look like abalone. Some of the bigger ones look pretty cool.

Thanks man. After some research looks like limpets. Looks like they are reef safe and are just grazers.

Have you ever had them?

i have had them but just comin in on rock and stuff. i dont think they are readily sold in the hobby because of the difficulty to readily transport them,, what i mean is try to get it off the glass

I have several limpets in my tank. They don't move around a while lot, rather just kinds of move around a small area on the same rock continuously. There are some limiters that are predatory so just be aware of that, but many are just great little algae grazers
