With electricity going out in certain areas due to fires and storms what precautions are you guys taking to keep your tanks cool and alive ?

After watching the news I was just thinking about the same thing yesterday. I was thinking about going to best buy and getting a computer backup battery so I can at least run a few air stones and possibly a few small fans so I don't lose any fish

I got one a few years back from the old Kragens store before they became O'reileys. It came out to about $200 with the rebates. I have used it since. Battery back ups for air and circulation and frozen water bottles for temp are needed.

I recently replaced a battery from my ecotech backup battery unit. Having MP40s make it easier.

My neighbor loaned me his old noisey coleman 3000watt generator. I have enough juice to run my entire tank, my other neighbor's bigscreen and my fridge full of beer
;)

We've got a 6000w Onan in our 1976 GMC Motorhome - it's airplane loud, but it's a beast! And the MH is parked on the street outside our house... nice and convenient, even if the neighbors hate us.
