I have a toga branch uncured live rock I want to put in my tank. I have about 80 pounds of live rock in my tank. Would it affect my nitrates and nitrites in a bad way? Since it is a small piece can I just put it inside my tank?

I would cure it , Jamie picked up some and cured it in a bin and had crazy ammonia spike I would not put directly into tank . you have too much invested in your dt to just do that , I would worry more about ammonia ill try to find the linkl so you can see here experience with tonga branch that was dried/uncured

I agree but he made it sound like he was adding a small piece to a tank with 80 + pounds that's already cycled.

true but there will still be spikes maybe not bad but ammonia isn't good so I would cure it for a week or so in a bin or trashcan that would eliminate any complication that may arise from ammonia going up in his d.t.

You are wise beyond your years. Rather safe than sorry.
