they are called aptasia, very evasive. if you have a few i recommend cutting them off the rock remove around 1x1x1 hoping you get the compete footing. if not then i would go with peppermint shrimp if you dont have any fish that eats shrimp. the way to find out is put a few in there hahahahah,

Will get some peppermint shrimp asap! How many shrimp should I get for a 20 gallon tank. I have a fire shrimp and a cleaner shrimp already.

I would get rid of it ASAP before it spreads. People see a few and dont do anything about it until it looks like this and becomes depressing.

Start with two peppermints, max of four for that tank....or even a filefish also will work, they are both fairly cheap....joes juice also seems to do the trick.

My paper mint shrimp were eating my snails and not the aptasia, I would go for a file fish. I put one in and two days later all my problems were fixed! And they look cool cruzin around the tank staring at rocks looking for food.

I put 3 in my 30g frag tank and they chowed on the aptasia I had in there. I only have one fish in my frag tank, so I don't feed that much. I think that might help too. If they're hungry, they will go after the aptasia.

be careful with boiling water. if you zap some zoos by mistake you might inhale some toxins, requiring a trip to the E.D.
