LOL@rainbow bta...

Entacmaea quadricolor comes in two color variations and maybe two subspieces... it's debatable... since the common green BTA will never grow as large as a rose BTA... but yet they are the same species somehow...

a GBTA can be closely colored to a rose... but a rose is just a rose... some have white speckles, but rarely keep them in artificial lighting... the also, the green coloration in yours somewhat goes away when fully extended... and it does look like it's splitting... mine split several times... good luck with the clones... they walk around and hide, then out of no where they're on top of your favorite coral...

id..???

e. quadricolor isn't enough..? in a year or two in an aquarium roses will all look the same... so will GBTA... they aren't a coral where they get names and such... some are just prettier than others... if it stays pretty on the long run you're lucky, or doing something right...

i've even seem soem bright orange rose anemones... but again... they're just e. quadricolor...

Thanks for the feedback guys!

I will be selling the clone when it heals up and is ready to go. The iphone pic I took is darker in color. The color pops when you see it....

And the orange ones are called flame anemones. I dont see why there are names for zoas then, a zoa is just a zoa. The name helps people know the strain they have. I've been doing this a long time and have seen thousands of bta's come in. Yes most are green or red, but belive it or not some are crazy morphs causing crazy color schemes. Just like the green bta with purple tips I just sold.

a clownfish without it's stripes is still a clown fish... it doesn't turn it into a goby...

and there are different species of zoas... just like how some paly's are zoas and some aren't...

amphipalyzoanthus to palyanthidzianthus... one is a zoa... and the other isn't...

just trips me out how in this hobby names makes it more "exotic" for it's color and morph... that's like saying a honda civic painted in championship white is more "exotic" than the civic painted milano red... LOL... this hobby is plagued in bigotrious opportunist...
