What kind of foam and where to buy for rimless tank?

Hey guys.


What kind of foam are you guys using to put under your tanks?


I know home depot sells Styrofoam but not sure about what thickness I should use.

I'm going to put 3/4 inch plywood under the foam. So its tank, foam, 3/4in plywood, then steel stand

My guess would be, the size of the tank! If I remember correctly... I used 3/4" foam from HD.

Or you can use yoga matte. Its a lot nicer then white foan

Get a 1/4 yoga mat from amazon.

I'm using this but anything similar should work:

+1 with the yoga matte. That's what I used for my 180g rimless.
