I have a rainbow bubble anemone that some times has bubbles and most of the time is really stringy. Whats up with that?

I think different factors such as lighting, water parameters, flow, etc etc

From my experience, bta's seemed to bubble more under blue leds

That might be true. Mine is more bubbly toward the end of the day when the blue lights are predominant and more stringy in the beginning and middle of the day when white lights are predominant.

No one knows for sure why they bubble.. A LOT of guesses but they are not even sure if it means they are healthy or happy.. Just not much known on bubble tips...

Now that definitely looks very nice.. But is there a benefit to it having the bubbles other then for looks? No one knows that... He could have been much happier before who knows..

i was wondering about this too. i know the fish stores I go to always has their RBTA bubbled up. When it got to my tank it went "stringy" but it did split within a few weeks.

I have often heard that splitting means they are unhappy for some reason. Do not know if this has any basis in fact. Mine is mostly stringy, occasionally bubbled, and has never split.

This is true people believe they spilt to increase there chances of survival in an environment that they feel is not the best or when they are stressed.. We see it as a good thing because now we have multiple bubble tips but it may not be the best thing..

Maybe it's the lighting in the pic but it looks a little bleached?
When I got him a year and a half ago he was in bad shape.

Totally Bleached.

It took 6 months for him to color up.

Now he eats like a beast and is super bubbly and open.

Doubled in size.

If it has some more color in it I will shi* Myself
