yeah, after posting i googled hydroids and that's the stuff...


see... i know some stuff... i make meaningful post sometimes...



how do you get rid of them...?

Sorry guys those not hydroids. Some type of worm. Seems harmless when i had them. Dip the coral in melafix.

hydriods looks like tubeworm thing that are brown color. all it does is piss off corals. i dont think hydriods can grow in the middle of the coral.

probably an acro crab...


anyways...




there are 7 documented species of hydroids in our systems... there is a HUGE kingdom of hydroid in the wild...



so yeah... them are hydroids...

Anyone know how to get rid of these? My tanks full of em and they're bothering my Zoas... I've seen my melanurus pull at one of them but they it left the hydroid alone after a couple of pulls. Only coral I've seen it bother are zoas...
