What's up with my mushroom?

This guy started the size of a quarter and is now about 3 inch in diameter. Just noticed him balling up - not seen him do it before - any ideas? All parameters normal except salinity a little high at 1.026.

maybe waterflow to high? how are u checking ur salinity ?

Not moved it - always been in the same place.

1.025 so not much difference.

Weird - it started to open back up and then my 6 line started bugging it, now opened up to full size again!

Maybe some defensive mechanism?

Some of my mushrooms do that when i drop pellets on them to feed.

I have a big mushroom, not sure exactly what kind, but it does that when I feed my fish mysis shrimp. Here's a picture of mine, not bubbled. It's a lot bigger now. I'm guessing it's eating when it bubbles up? that's the only time mine does it.
