My tanks going to be in a corner of my room. I want to blackout that side glass so you don't noticed the gyre & mp40 and wires. Normally I spray paint it, but don't want it to be perminant incase I move it.

Where do I buy the stuff?

I literally JUST tried this. The tank is outside drying so I can peel the stuff off and use vinyl instead. I had no idea the fumes are so bad, thought it was more like latex paint, and tried to do it with the tank on the stand inside (with a brush, not the spray). Worst idea ever. I really should have coffee before my bright ideas. I'm lucky I didn't kill us all.

Lmao! It says it has to be in a well ventilated area... and u need like 4 coats. I personally do vinyl and apply it myself i have a plotter and can cut it to the exact size :)

That's what's so dumb. I have a cutter too but I was running low on black vinyl and had the Plastidip already... Seriously, worst idea ever. :)

Edit: Do you do wet application for tanks?

what part was the worst idea? Using the plasti-dip or doing it inside. I was just wondering why you are going to take it off if it is already done?

It's not done. :) I realized it would take way too many coats and should just go with vinyl so I stopped. The fumes were a big part but also, the stuff isn't that easy to work with. It gums up as it dries, gums up the brush, etc.

I used matte black vinyl. All decal and sign stores around me wanted $30-50.

Of all places I found some at the Joann fabric store. A roll costs about 6-7 bux. You can overlap fan with the Joann ones.
