Hydro Fill.... I just got it as a bday present from the wife.. I really like it... Super easy to install... It has been flawless for me and precise.

The Hydro Fill pump is really good as well.... Pretty quit has multiple mounting options... It came with 10 feet of hose and k used every inch of it(meaning I put my top off container as far away as the manufacture said I could... And it pumps in water as if it was a foot away!!

I'd def recommend it.... There no float switches(to get stuck) it uses probes on the sensors...

I think the hydor smart level is great, cheaper than the over priced tunze, simpler and has an off switch on the unit.

Tunze Osmolator. I have one in each of my tanks. My most mature tank is 3 years old and never had any issues.

What went wrong with the jbj ago? Bad float? I have a tunze which works great but that uses a float as well. I guess there's always that chance that float gets stuck on some debris or something.
I would just test the float can slide freely every now and then.

I really like this ato! I will be purchasing it in the next few months. Would just like to know if you can use a toms aqua lifter or so you have to use the pump supplied.
I believe you can use any pump... All the Auto aqua does is control a switch to a pump...

The innovative marine Hydro Fill that I have comes in 2 parts... 1 part is the sensor/brain and the 2nd part is just the pump...

This is from Coral Vue website that makes the auto aqua

DC Feed Pump model: DP-200
Brushless (30000hrs) Head : 6.5ft (200 cm)
Flow rate: 74GPH (280L/HR)
Power: 4.5W@DC 12V

Note: It is possible to change to the other PUMP or solenoid valve directly(< 10W@12VDC output)

Autotopoff has been great to me. Easy to setup and is a good quality product. The basic components reduces risk and the ability to fail.. I used an aqualifter for the pump so it can run dry if u forget to add water to your ATO.. Believe me, it happens lol.

My AutoTopOff lasted about 3 years and died while I was on vacation (go figure).

Replaced it with a Tunze Osmolator, and after using that I doubt I would ever use any other ATO. VERY slick!

I love my Tunze! The only thing that goes on that setup is the pump if you run it dry too much but its only $21.00 to replace!
