I have one of two options to choose from. My cousin has 1 Radion XR15W Pro and 1 XR30W GEN 3 to give to me for free for my new 50g tank. My dimensions are 24X24x20"... I plan on going SPS Dominant. I also plan on mounting the Radion using a tv wall mount (for the cleanest look with full adjustability).
I understand that I will get the most Par using the Pro, which is vital for proper sps growth. However I am wondering if the xr30 gen 3 (having dual clusters) will also be sufficient in their growth. How is it that 1 xr15w pro has the same spread as an xr30w gen 3 when 1 Radion has 2 clusters? Any and all opinions and comments are more than welcome. I have 3 days to make a decision.
Note: Although my assumption that 2 clusters would be better than 1, even using the standard 80 TIR lens on the xr30 gen 3, my goal is NOT to let the spread bleed past the 24x24 dimension of the tank...resulting in a clean spectrum only illuminating the insides of my tank.
