I just picked one up and hes been hiding for 24 hours now. Any idea when he will warm up and come out?

I had one. It was one of my favorite fish. Full of personality. Give it time to settle, it'll come out...

I didn't see my mandarin for two weeks after I put him in.

I have two, one in each tank. Both took a few days to come out..now they are the kings of the tank. Sometimes they nip at other fish, but I love them both.

I welcome a nipper, my larger of the 2 Spotcinctus has taken over since I got rid of my flame angel and yellow tang.

I had one that was amazing but jumped. #2 was ALMOST as cool. Love these fish - it's like having a dog in the tank.

Thinking back, my 2nd one his for a while when I added it.

Mine was very skittish at first anytime I was near the tank it would dart into it's cave. It now stares at me like a puppy dog and doesn't really get spooked unless I make sudden movements...give it some time or stand back from your tank and watch it pick away at the rocks and glass.

Definitely an awesome fish just added mine to the display tank Sunday. Still takes me a while to find him as he wiggles into all the crevices.

My favorite fish. Took about a week to come out. Mine was king of the tank, sitting propped up on top of the rocks. Added a Kole tang, and it is constantly harassing my Blenny, chasing him back into the rocks. Tang is on borrowed time.

He's out now, not 100% comfortable it seems but he will come out and perk up on the rocks next to the Flame Hawk, and isn't bothered by the Spotcinctus.
