Bout to start mixing this stuff at home and wondering if anyone happens to know how many cups of salt it take for 35ppm salinity. The formula on the bucket tells you for a 1.021
Just wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head for mixing in a 5 gallon bucket

I found it's pretty safe to assume its about 1 cup per 2 gallons for most salts but I'm not all that accurate about it. I add half let it mix, then add about 40% more and start testing salinity and adding from there.

I would start with 1 cup of salt per gallon and then measure it out. Make sure the water is at the correct temperature to get the most accurate salinity reading as well. You'll usually be close at that point, so you can add a bit of salt or RO/DI water to get exactly where you need

Use a measuring cup…
Half cup per gallon at 70 degrees…
Always verify with refractometer..
