I did not make it today. Just wrong time for me. But I hope tomorrow breaks attendance errors. These shows are good for everyone and it would be sad if they were not successful. I wish everyone at MAX a boatload of hobbyists

Wow even with all the bad rep I would think the show would be decently busy. Was it like that in the morning too? How many shows do we get in SoCal with quality vendors all under 1 roof? I would have gone if I had the $ to spend right now to support the vendors. I went a few years back and got some great deals. Theres always stores charging crazy prices but you can always find a different vendor with better deals to give your $$$.

I drove down from Santa Clarita and was there from 10-12ish. I was a bit unimpressed to be honest. Cool to see all the vendors, but it seemed pretty slow besides Tong's. They did have some great prices there for bagged stuff from snails to shrimp to some nice fish. I ended up getting a nice little zoa rock for $10 bucks though which probably had like 50-60 zoas on it. I was pretty stoked on that, overall not too exciting though.

There is plenty of coral to be had at great prices and I expect better deals today. I did buy a few frags besides a set ok Knives. I have expensive taste in coral, but I'm going to need to send Kelly back to work and get a second job to afford some of the top 2%, if I believed the hype. I had a great time hanging with friends and I will be back today to find a few more gems.

I got a nice chunky frag of grafted Setosa from Jorge, a very nice frag from Brian at Age can't remember the name, but crazy polyp extension. From Killer Korals a Rainbow Passion and a second gold and red frag. I got a couple hobby frags from Lars and SCRK.

I hope that the vendors do well and if you have something I do not have I am bringing some more trade coral today. Mostly bread and butter, but a few gems mixed in. Will be back at the SCRK booth.

See you at max.

Lol 2k. **** how much are the knives?
So the knives were Cutco and I did not buy to frag corals, so I wondered why at a reef show but got sold a set of knives. The hobby coral prices were great, bread and butter not so bad, but the hype was prevalent with many. When someone says 2 for a SPS mini colony and I pull out $200 for a very nice mini colony and they say no $2000 it makes me laugh about how crazy the hype is. Mushrooms even more crazy, but there were good deals. There is always good deals and every show is worth going to, but these sellers who believe there corals are worth $500 plus for a frag are bat Sh@t CRAZY. Not a hater, but many have bumped there heads!
