MACNA is a true convention and trade show for the marine aquarium hobbyist, from beginner to hardcore. Think of RAP, but on steroids. We currently have 176 exhibitors, ranging from livestock vendors like WorldWideCorals, Unique Corals, Select Corals, Fraghouse Corals, Zoanthids.com, VWReefs to manufacturers like CoralVue, Neptune, Maxspect, Vertex, Digital Aquatics, Current-USA, Kessil, etc. Whether you are shopping for coral or just need to talk to Matthias Gross from GHL, you can do it at MACNA. Please check out the website or download the app (search for MACNA 2016) and you will find all sorts of information. We will have a raffle each day, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and we are currently up to about 15 full tank systems up for grabs. Raffle tickets are only $25 for a sheet of 25 and right now if you buy them on our website they are $20 for that same sheet of 25. We even have a killer 155g Reef Savvy tank up for grabs. 3/4" Diamont ultra clear glass, rimless, phantom bottom, and either a ghost overflow or possibly something very new and exciting that Felix at Reef Savvy is working on. $1 raffle tickets and it could be yours.

Check out the site and make sure to tell everyone you know. This will be a fantastic show!

I didn't buy the tickets yet but I got my hotel booked. I'm going on a Friday though because I hate large crowds and weekend traffic to SD.

She's only 1.5yrs old so she might not enjoy it fully. I'll probably take her there next year. Our hotel is near the beach so I might take the wife somewhere nice for dinner and stroll. Theb off to Macna the ff day, good thing we all love aquariums.

Absolutely looking forward to being there! Last year was my first year, so I'm hardly an expert, but I'd say definitely check out the speaker schedule first and see which ones you want to hear, then check out the vendor list and decide which ones you definitely want to check out. I hit that list first, but then go back and make the rounds to see it all...err...as much as humanly possible. :)

The app is definitely your friend for planning ahead.

Yes 1.5 yrs old is too young to enjoy rides and such. But she may love the water park inside LEGOLAND.

The San Diego Safari Park is also a good place worth visiting. I'm still undecided if going to MACNA. I may ride out on Sat and check it out.
