Wooden stand or steel ?

Hey folks thinking of setting up my 4ft/wide 8ft/long 1ft/tall frag tank. Its going to weigh about a ton once it has water in it. My question is should I build a stand with 2*4 wood or have something welded out of steel? Also who does steel stands in Socal? By any chance would anyone know how much a steal stand would run me...

You can do 4*4 for those vertical ones and 2*4 for horizontal ones. I built the wooden stand for 300 gallons freshwater tank before with that.

If you do a steel stand, I recommend ocean marine. They built a 8' 2' x 40" steel stand for me before.

This is my stand made by a local welder to me, called BP Mobile Welding. A little over a week from start to finish, delivered to my door as well.
