Decided to do a tank build here and preface it with a little catch up of how it started and bring it up to date so I can keep it going.

Picked up an Elos120 that was already up and running from a guy in the bay area in April of 2012. The tank itself is in great condition, no scratches, but the live rock/lives is a disaster, terrible case of hair algae and seems to have been neglected for quite some time. I decided to transfer the tank as is to my house and brake it down and build it back up. It came with a lot of the current equipment but not all of it.

So this is what the current equipment list:
Elos 120 tank, stand, modded sump
Elos Osmocontroller Digital
3 Ecotech Radions
Super Reef Octopus XP2000
Sicce 4.0
3 Mp40W
Jager 250w
Jager 200w
Neptune Apex
Bubble Magus Doser (2part and Mag)

Current FTS

The first ting I did was a major cleaning top to bottom of the tank including all equipment.
Emptied the tank and removed all the sand and live rock. Gave the live rock a soak in the acid and pressure washed them off. Looks like new, thanks to the advice of cpt cautious from NVR.
Cleaned all the pumps, skimmer, and sump area.
Filled the tank back up with new water and added the new sand.

The system originally cam with halides that I swapped out for two radions at first.
I hung the lights using the Elos hanging Kit and some aluminum c channel. Took me a day or so to get the lights programmed how I wanted them(still fiddle with them until today).
I also built a floating screen top for it using some 1/4" clear mesh from BRS and a DIY screen kit from the local big box store.
I added the chromis are back in and traded out some of the other livestock for a potter's angel. Also added a couple cleaner shrimp but need to order the rest of the cuc.

The purpose of this new build was to upgrade from a smaller system. I started moving things over slowly and everything seemed to do really well. At first.

About a week after I moved everything over I had a huge die off which resulted in the tank cycling. I lost a lot of sps and alot of my other corals browned out and and or lost color. I moved about 90% of the coral and fish out and housed them at Aquatic Central.
I guess on good thing about the crash was it gave me an opportunity to redo my rock work and restock with new coral.

I purchased a few new pieces, replaced a few pieces, and trade for a few pieces of coral. The tank started finally to come together after the crash and some of the corals started to get some color back.

Did things a little backwards with this system as it was a running system so I organized the cabinet space after it was up and running. Not the best way to do things but got it done.

After noticing I was getting some shadowing on some of the sps I added a third radion which made a world of difference. I ended up using the ecotech rails and hanging kit. I bit of an upgrade from the original aluminum rails.

Tried a few new things with the equipment/livestock and gave a majestic a shot. The majestic was good at the beginning but eventually went rouge.
Swapped out the elos skimmer for a reef octopus xp2000 and added a third mp40w.

On my one year anniversary I decided to do something a little special and made a video of the tank.

That pretty much brings me up to date but unfortunately I had a bit of a problem with a surge protector on one of my other tanks resulting in a crash so this tank is holding most of the coral from that system. It is jam packed and hopefully the coral make it. Now onto the pics.

Thanks and glad to be here! Love the Elos.
As far as best stores in the peninsula I would have to say Aqua Exotic but they are pretty much the only store on the peninsula. If you open up the area a little bit there are some other nice places like Neptune Aquatics Diablo Coral and Aquatic Collection.
