Would you care to share your lighting schedule and intensity? thanks!
I am currently running 3 gen1 radions with no upgrades. My lights are the recommended 9" above the water line and have been that way since I installed them. I have tooled around with the programing over the year and a half I've had them but have left them alone for months now.
When I first set them up I noticed the coral, primarily zoas, would stay closed during the brighter parts of the day and that is when I was running them around 30 or 40%. I feel as though the coral needed to acclimate to LEDs and would do so on their own terms. I generally will start of with all coral on the sand bed and acclimate them to where I want them in the tank like any other lights I have used in the past.
Currently I am running the 18k preset all day that ramps up to a max of 80% but this is after months if raising it incrementally. I also run some super blue in the morning and evening. Shoot me a pm if you want me to send over my actual schedule.
To say that all the coral in the tank is happy would be untrue but I do the best I can with what I have.
