Looking for either a Maxspect Jump 2K (to complement current 2K) or dual Fx230/330. Budget $120 for single with controller or $220 for dual with controller.

Not interested in your friend with an email address. Not buying from brand new members.

I can also frag you a piece of Koji Wada pink nepthea for a part buy/trade.

Thanks!

I've got a Maxspect Gyre 330 2xpump with controller setup. I it bought new from BRS and installed on November 9th 2022. They were taken offline about a month ago or more. They were not needed alongside some MP60s I had -- The flow was too much.

Let me know if you're still looking.

I have dual FX350's with controller and battery back-up. New bushings also for one gyre.
Bought from another member, used for 30 minutes, decided too much flow for my tank.

Hi Isaac, I've been playing with the 2k gyre position. Moved it to the other side of the tank sans nem guard with the forward and backward flow pattern, and that is giving much better flow in the tank. Still not 100% sure if it is "good"--will post a video tomorrow--but I'm worried that a second gyre will be too much. The 230/330 series on my 3 foot tank is certainly an option if I swap out the one 2K gyre for 2x 330s. You're saying it was too much flow in your tank? How many feet is your Cade?

@OldReefGuy , I hear you. The 250/350 series is for big boy tanks. Mine is just 3 feet and the 2K is pretty good, and the 230/330 series might be too much.

Too much alongside the MP60s. I was blowing sand along the walls as I had the gyres positioned vertically. I have a peninsula so to maintain some external aesthetics I’ve limited myself to mounting pumps on the overflow side. The tank is I think 5’+.
