I know this is a long shot but maybe somebody out there has
A moorish idol they are willing to sell the reason im posting to buy
One here is because id preffer to buy a MI who is already trained
To eat in captivity i will test before i buy (you feed him infront of me)
Im sure it will be hard to find one since most people that have one are not
Willing to sell. Im not in a rush to buy the fish but i thought id give it a try
If nobody is willing to sell id like to buy a 2" hawaiin MI if you know where
I can get one please lmk thanks

Im also interested i bicolor frogspawn if anybody has some lmk im
Interested or looking for a nice sized purple tip frogspawn colony thanks

I saw 2 MI at Jans in Montclair. Didn't check to see if they ate though. If I go today ill ask to see

When you find a Morish idol that eats let us all know ... lol !! Then once it does eat it will still die cause thats what Morish idols do ...If you want the look without the death that follows get a Heniochus / Black & White butterfly ..

They were once very difficult to keep but I think better fish collection recently are making this fish easier to keep. Im seeing more MI eat at the LFS than a few years ago. Tips are find one that eats. Once eating you have to feed it 4x to 8x times a day. Yes that many times to fatten them up. A majority of MI are on the thin side. They lose weight faster than most fish. A month or two later you can cut down the feedings to 2x to 3x a day.
I have 3 MI for over a year. I won't recommend keeping more than one. I started with 7 but slowly over the weeks they fought and fought and fought and now I have 3 left in a 300g tank. Some minor fighting here and there but nothing major.
