I have a Panta 42 on my 7' long tank and it's a great pump. Moves water a long distance despite all the rockwork/colonies in the way. The flow is great.
Yup — but essentially just need 2 pumps. I’m backing out of that idea: too expensive and yes, wires! lol For now, will use 2xMP40s until I find MP60s - not a hurry actually.
I’m trying to rebuild this tank - 360g (96x36x24).
I truly hate to tell you this but with that length I would recommend multiple pumps. Each side would be best and even 4 or 6 pumps depending on what type of flow for your corals. I also think wires in an aquarium look much better than the chunky blocks of pumps outside. it is external clutter. Especially MP 60's. The real question is how thick is your glass or acrylic aquarium. Only a few companies offer extra strength magnets and ETM is not one of them.

This is a good point I forgot. The pump attaches fine near the top half of the tank. If placed low in the tank it will detach unless you have it pointed straight out.
My new (to me) tank is 3/4” acrylic. I have MP40s on my 3/4” glass SPS tank and they’re fine. Actually I have a non-qd MP60 in storage — kinda noisy hence I don’t use it.

I have an external overflow so it’s already “clunky” outside. I just don’t like electrical wires inside the tank tbh. Will send final setup pics when done - it will be awhile, still working on cleaning up the tank/sump.
I already have 2 MP40s… so, instead of getting 2 MP60s, I might just buy 2 more MP40s and essentially have 4 in the back wall? It’s way cheaper and more flow…
