I use the Hanna high range nitrite. Hanna provides a nitrite to nitrate conversion calculation. It is for a marine application. I have had the checker for over a year. My biggest issue is getting reagents. For some reason they are non-existent in the US. I had to get them from the UK. Other than that, I really like it.

I can't remember how much I paid for it. I am not parting with mine but wanted to let you know that Hanna has one that should fit your needs. If you get your hands on one and you have problems getting additional reagents, I will give you 10 packs.
That's a nitrite not nitrate but if you don't care how long it lasts look up a pinpoint nitrate monitor cause as far as I know there the only one that is available

The instructions show how to convert the nitrite reading to nitrate. I compared it to Red Sea nitrate tests and there is negligible difference. The swag is being able to tell what color the test water is compared to the Red Sea color chart. I try and avoid the color charts. My eyes sometimes fail me.....
