Why don't you buy a new one ? For $ 20, you can buy Maxi Jet 1200 pump. It's more than enough for your 12 gallon frag tank.

bro be sure to secure the pump. at 2am a few days ago i heard water splashing while asleep and woke up to find gallons of water on the ground. turns out the pump turned and shot water upwards out of the tank LOL.

there's a couple of stores in la mirada you could go to... tongs on whittier, red sea on on leffingwell... do a local search for tropical fish on yahoo...
