Wtb skimmer and sump!!!

Hey guys Im trying to set up a 225 gallon tank and im looking for a good skimmer and sump that is about 70-100g. If you or anyone knows anyone that is selling lmk! and what are your inputs on skimmers? etc. bubble magus or reef octopus?

I would go reef octopus over bubble magus. If you can find a used super reef octopus xp5000 or a regular 5000, u will love that skimmer. Great pumps and very good at skimming.

Also u should buy your skimmer before your sump. That way u will know how big of a sump to buy.

+1 ^^ its a pain fitting an oversized skimmer on a regular sump specially when its acrylic...

I'd buy a used tank and just add your own baffles. That way you can do it how you like. I like to leave a big middle section for frags. That way your display is not full of frags.

Ya no problem. Also there is a SoCal acrylic builder named advanced acrylics. If u want a simple 3/8" clear acrylic sump, he can build u one very cheap. Depending on the size and how many baffles u need, it could be around $150-$200 for a decent sized sump.

Find your skimmer, then call them up and order a sump to fit your needs.
