Thought I’d see if anyone has one used they want to get rid of before ordering a new one.

I'm still using my 6040's, nearly 7 years old now. I think they are probably the most underrated controllable pumps out there. I wish Tunze would make a slightly larger version that would fall between the 6040 and Stream 3. The fact that you can change it's position and flow with the deflector and mounting is awesome. Cleaning them is so simple and easy. I would buy them in a heartbeat.

Good to know, I have had my eye on them for a while. The mouthing option them and angles you can get with the deflector I think will work great for what I need. But bouncing between that and a gyre. Not really sure, flow has been tough to "master" for me.

Two 6040’s on opposite ends would be perfect, but you could use one to start on the opposite side of your return. I had two in my 22g nano sps tank and never had them over 70% and that tank was packed.

Thanks! I’m running a Nero 5 pulsing on the opposite end of the return. While the SPS has decent flow I don’t think it will be enough good enough long term. I was hoping the 6040 would provide a more aimable flow to direct more at the SPS.

And it would still be discreet. Real estate is prime a nano.
