Wtf could be causing this?

Have you tried dipping them yet for pests?
Haven't dipped yet. they've grown off the disc and onto the bottom of the tank so was hopping it might be something else before stressing the colony by peeling it off the tank. my ring of fires did the same thing but recovered. I really like these so I'm a little more concerned now haha.

How about any salinity swings? To me it doesn't look like a pest but it looks like a reaction to a change in the water chemistry. I would wait a day and see how they look but if they look like that still I would do a furan 2 dip and then not touch them for a while. I have had zoas that have looked like that and they came back strong.

i've had a similiar experience but only with certain kinds of zoas...some do well in my tank and some just shrink up and die off...super weird and irritating. i love zoas but cant get all of to love my tank LOL glad everything turned around for ya, but what did you do to fix it or what was the problem?
