I just bought these on sunday at the tropical fish store in fullerton.. but its a little to much flow in my 50 gal cube so i was looking for the 550.. or if you have an mp10 id be willing to trade both 1050 and the andor controller. These are brand new beside a dip in my tank.

Crate water agitation/oxigenate the water better.. but if you think u need more flow. U probably do.. rule of thumb for me us, if the zoas aren't swaying, I'm not doing something right

There is definitely such thing as "too much flow". Put an mp60 in a 40 gallno cube and tell me that's not too much flow. But I agree, I had a 1050, 1400, and a mp10 + 20x into my sump at one point in a 40 gallon. 1 1050 is no biggie.
