I'm planning to buy some xenia, problem is I have much space left in my tank for the new xenia except on the rock that my all my xenia which died were on.
So I want to ask how to do frag xenia, is it easy. Because after I bought the xenia I want to transfer the stalks to my rock which was fitted in a tight space.
Thanks a lot

just cut it and tie it down to a rock with a string. it will attach itself to the new rock in less than a week. =]

I hear about people's xenia growing like weed all the time. I bought 10 stalks and for almost 9 months I hadn't seen any noticable growth at all. Then after a few days I was away from my tank and came back they were melted and disappear.
Thanks Fran for your generosity of offering free xenia :)

Do you use glue to glue it down? & What part of the coral do you attach to the rock, the part where it was cut?
Thanks

you dont use glue to glue xenias.. because they are very slimy. Unlike hardcorals which you can super glue them. you attach the part that is always attached to the rock. that stem like looking part. and you can cut the stem part too.
