I've seen one in person, they are very well thought out and constructed but very costly at least for now. There hope is that once they get into full production costs will drop significantly.

That's good to hear. I think if the level of detail is preserved from the DreamBox, it'll be a great seller. Looking forward to seeing these under people's tanks. Hopefully, you guys make it out to RAP with one of these babies!

Yep. Jon delivered it to Scott the day of last years SCMAS Holiday Party. It is every bit as nice as the one Royal Exclusiv offers. But you can actually get one of these. Can't say the same for the Royal Exclusiv.
Could be. Wish I had seen this in person since I was at RAP last year. But no, there I was sitting at the Neptune Systems presentation eagerly wanting to win an Apex. At least I got a hat...
The main advantage of PVC is that it is softer and more flexible than acrylic. Acrylic is very brittle. PVC is easier to cut and easier to drill. I am told it takes a special glue to bond the PVC with the acrylic panels. After this is done they hot air weld to increase the strength of the bond.
In the end it is merely a vessel to hold water. That being said, my next sump will be PVC.
The only thing I don't like about the pvc sumps is all the bracing on top. Now I know people like the bracing and covers because it keeps down evaporation but I personally like fully opened sumps so I can get my hands in there easily and do what I want.
