I made a dumb mistake by glueing a frag on top of the tank and some glue fell in the water. My yellow tang decided to grab it and now hes breathing fast trying to take it off. What can i do? I know its impossible to catch him

This happened to my PT too but I was able to catch it and I remove the glue from his mouth..

I would place a fish trap asap, sooner or later will be hungry and he will go in. After u catch him just romove the glue manually.

That sucks :( I think you know what happens when you get some glue on your fingers! Trying to catch him will only stress him out more.

Same thing happened to my PBT and he was able to remove it himself after a couple of days. Mine only had glue on his lower lip though. Is the mouth glued shut on your yellow tang?

I've had 2 tangs have glue in their mouth. One of them was a huge glob and it's mouth was glued shut. . It eventually went away by itself.

I remember a thread exactly like this a year ago on RC. The glue eventually came off and the fish was fine. I would also not attempt to catch the fish as in sure he's stressed as it is

Thanks for the input. As of now it seems like the glue is in his bottom lip. Hes still grazing at the live rock. So i think it should be fine right? Im keepin a close eye on him. Ill let him be for a few hours and hope everything turns out well.

It will be fine. Just watch him and give it a couple of days. Let us know what happens but should fall of by itself.
