Just left Rainbow Pet in Arleta CA
These are raised in Hawaii and not Biota. (Not wild caught)
Best looking Yellow’s I’ve seen in years.

be careful, if they are not captive bred (which biota is the only ones doing so), they are "illegal"/ smuggled in.

When yellow tangs were $20 - $30 i always thought they should be more...beautiful fish! Guess I was right! lol

I have a YT that I paid $40 a decade ago. Would I pay $400 for it today? No - inflation adjusted or not, I don’t think it’s worth that much. My purple tang is more beautiful. This is purely driven by supply & demand. With respect to “true Hawaiian YT” - honestly it doesn’t matter to me, a YT is a YT.

That the tangs are not captive bread and theyre brought in illegally. You kind of have to by what they say?

YT is my fav fish, bought mine $20 in 2016, and another hobbyist was giving away one because he shut down his tank, I can’t take it cuz I already have 1 at the time
