Picked up this guy at our local petco, he looked miserable and was basically all brownish purple without any color in the face. But he was $10 and I had a newly cycled empty tank, so I took the advice of the late great Jake Adams and added some coral early on. And to be honest it’s been nothing but great. Within 20 minutes the 4 polyps opened up and actually started to color up to my surprise! But after hours of searching online with all the different zoanthid identification resources, I can’t find something that looks similar enough. Is it a possibility they aren’t finished coloring up and the bands or segments of color will fill out, or even change color again? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Not sure if this has a name... but the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it was some sort of People Eater variant.

Here’s a better photo from just now. I still don’t know what they could be but I really like them.

They're really cool looking... could just be an unnamed wild variant thats new to the hobby.

I just did a google image search and I got a hit for a Blue Muppet zoa from Cultivated Reef. But their's looks more blue. Oh and Tidal Garden Mean Green Zoa looks similar as well.
