The 1/2" and the 3/4" have female threaded connection on the top, so you can thread directly to the top. The 1" is a slip fitting.

We have used them external but not for more than a few hours. Let me check and let you know ASAP.

We completed the setup instructions for the HALO with the APEX. Should have available in the next few days. We are also working on the setup instructions to connect the HALO to the DA Archon too. Let me know if you have questions.
