httm is simple enough, but it's gonna be more work if you have less stuff
like i have 5 10g tanks sitting around. a bunch of small heaters, a bunch of powerheads, lots of pvc pipes, and i keep a bunch of little biomedias in my dt sump so basically i just fill tanks with water and httm them. then when i have time i'll empty and sterilize the tanks
you can technically do it with just 2 of everything, but then when you swap tanks you gotta clean and sterilize everything immediately so it's ready for the next round
httm is great because you can do whatever you need with it. if a fish has a bacterial issue, you can toss in abx. if a fish is uronema prone, substitute formalin for the peroxide and you can dose formalin. you can do prazi/general cure a day before a swap. etc
that said, you'll probably quickly figure out spending $50-100 more is sometimes totes worth. especially difficult fish that are hard to get eating
