Now, I'm not the one selling this system. I found it on craigslist. But a hell of a deal. I was wondering if anyone was willing to go in on this for specific parts. Here is the description:
Selling a 180 gallon working salt water aquarium for pennies on the dollar. I have neglectedthe aquarium, however it is up and and running. The aquaruim comes complete 220 pounds of live rock (some with soft corals attached), 200 pounds of live sand, the fish and soft corals on the rocks. The lighting system is a $1,800 LED set of lights, also have a $1,200 halid lighting system. The aquarium is set-up to be completely green with only the assistance of pumps to return the water and needs a new protein skimmer. I have several different types of chemiclas that are used in a salt water system.
Aquarium: 2 feet by 2 feet by 6 feet custom built with black background and holes drilled into the glass. Has a black cabinet with a black hood where the LED lights are installed. The filter system is a refugium style sytem complete with live sand and loads of coraline algea on the sides. Has one working return pump. Glass tank alone when purchassed new was $2,600. This is a steal at $850. Will take at least four men to move the aquarium. Live rocks are covered in coraline algae. With some love and care this tank can be a show piece once again.
You must bring your own buckets to transport rocks and sand, and you need to take down the system and remove from home in four just four to six hours. I am disabled and not able to help in any way.
I am only interested in the lights. We could split it. perhaps $200 for the lights, $200 for live stock, rock/coral and sand, $450 for tank, stand and misc. Anyone game?
