lets start with the original set up, my 135 gallon tank, this tank was running with over 300 pounds of live rock, maybe even more, thats including what was in the refugium!, it have a 55 gall refugium with chaeto and a huge deep sand bed, which flowed into a half filled or 3/4 filled 20 gallon sump, with a euro reef cs 8-3 RC skimmer, for flow i had 2 koralia 4's and lighting i had 2x250 metal halide lights on some super super ghetto ballast, with 2x48" 40 watt actinic lights

so i started this build, or transition by buying a whole bunch of stuff that would be used for the 215, by doing so it made the switch alot easier because everything was already set up on the larger tank, so that i could have that operational as soon as all the water and livestock from the other tank was switched to the new one, as opposed to switching all of it and then transitioning the remaining equipment which would have been a pain in the butt!

i bought this eheim 1260 return pump, because i decided that i did not need or want too much flow through the sump/refugium.

i bought 2 luminarc mini;'s because i had just two cheap reflectors for my 135, and that just wouldnt be sufficient for the 215, and i did not want to get a third metal halide, so the luminarc mini's would allow me to just have the 2x250watt bulbs, but have a ton of light for the tank!
