Hello, I’m selling my old tank which is the 50 gallon cube tank from sca. It’s 24x24x20 with a real wood stand purchased brand new by me in July of 2018. I ran the tank from that time to around may of this year
no problems with the tank. The seams look good and the only blemish on the glass is a small 1/2” scratch that I don’t think would be noticeable when filled with water, but it’s there
I upgraded the stand at purchase to a real wood one over mdf and it remains in good condition, very sturdy. I did use heavy duty Velcro on the sides of the stand for controllers and what not, but I did give the stand a recent paint job. Pics included trying to highlight that
the sump is the stock one, probably needs a better acid bath and scrubbing. I did a citric acid bath but some of the coralline is still stained on there
I’m also including the standard skimmer and return pump from sca. The skimmer actually works pretty well, but it’s small so it requires frequent cup emptying if u have a heavy stock list. The return legit didn’t turn on the first time I used it, but did work after. Suffice to say that was my first tank upgrade. I did use the return pump in my saltwater mixing brute and it always worked so at the least it might be a good backup pump to have on hand
im additionally including the skimmer I upgraded to an aquamaxx fc-80. It worked pretty well for the tank size, I had 10 fish in there because I love me some overstocking. I bought it on Black Friday 2018 so about a year and a half of use on that
lastly I have a handful of rocks that I don’t need so I figured I can toss them in. I’d give them an acid bath of some sort as I removed them due to aptasia infestation and ime despite being outdoors and dry for months the aptasia will come back
