I'd like to add a blonde naso tang or a blue tang to my tank. I currently have a kole yellow eye tang and a vlamingi tang. Which one would I have better luck introducing to the tank? Thanks in advance.

You'd need to rehome your vlamingi. That's way too much fish for even a 120. Do you know liveaquaria by any chance?

You could do a blue and Naso and a kole in the 120 but that vlamingi is as big as tangs get. Not a great idea in any tank under 150.

As long as your new tangs are bigger than your established tangs, they would do fine. Don't buy any smaller as they will definitely get beat up. Buy and enjoy any of your favorite tang fish for now and don't worry about them outgrowing your tank. You never know if you would still be in the hobby a year from now or your fish are still alive after a few months or even weeks. Many people shut their tanks down in a few months, some, a couple of years ... etc... due to unexpected life circumstances. If you happen to still have your tank and fish in a couple of years, upgrade it to a larger tank or sell off your big fish, or trade them in or even bring them back to your local fish stores. That's what I've done for many years in both fresh and saltwater.

Bought a vlamingii tang about 3 inches n quickly outgrew my 100 gal. Got a little over 6 inches within less of a year. So I sold him n got another about 2 inches aha. Probably do the same when he grows lol
