I have aiptaisa in my tank. Was wondering whats the best thing to use to get rid of it. I also have a fire shrimp in there so any other shrimp I can use without my fire shrimp bothering it

I just picked up a trio of peppermint shrimp. Others have had good luck with them, I'm going to see if they start making some headway and add more if they do. If not, a Copperband is on my want list, helps that the fianc likes them too.

That's what took me so long to find them.

I wish there was an easy solution, I'm gonna have to take some of my rock out to dry
Have to do that too on top of the shrimp, don't know where they came from but they exploded all over my tank...

I have some extremely large aiptasia that I been lagging on getting rid of, at this point I may just take the rocks out!! Some of those bastards are easily the size of a half dollar now lol. The other day one of them caught one of my pajama cardinals, thought it was a goner. Bastard survived lol

I'm battling the same problem. I'm hitting from all angles. Got a filefish, peppermint shrimp, and aiptasia away on the back burner. So far the fish and shrimp have made a massive dent. I was supposed to get some nudis, not going to need them though. I was skeptical because I feed so heavy, but they're doing they're job.

8 went from a good 60 down to like 5 in the last couple weeks since adding the crew. My 29 cube was completely covered, now I have to search to find the last couple.

When your done make sure to keep at least one shrimp. aptasia is never all gone haha. I have a peppermint in the tank now. Anytime I drop a frag in that has aptasia it's gone overnight.

Definitely. I plan in keeping all of them. They're pretty cool actually. They act like cleaners, every time I out my hand in the tank the come over to pick at my hands checking for stuff lol. They're quite friendly :)

how has the filefish worked out? I considered one of them. do they harm anything else? I have seen some really small ones and a few kinda large ones.

I've seen yours and their scary looking.haha.. Don't think peppermint would go to town on yours since their so big. You better off with CBB or file fish..

He's worked out great so far. He's in a 29 cube with about 6 other fish, shrooms, leathers, a few palys, frogspawn, gsp, and a nem. He hasn't picked at anything. I was going to get rid of just because if the bioload, but I really like him ;) So long as he doesn't eat anything he's a keeper.
