Just wanted to see if anyone keeps Blue Damselfish in their reef tanks? My wife loves the color of them but I know they can be A-Holes so I have always stayed away from them

Current Fish List: 2 Clowns, 4 firefish, yellow wrasse, hoeven's wrasse, red coris wrasse, flame angel, flame hawk, watchman goby, blue tang, yellow tang

I had one for years no issues although he was in a tNk with large fish. I once had a much smaller tank I'd say 30 gallons and he would push the other fish out of the tank different blue devil. So I would say it could go either way. Maybe try to ween her onto a school of blue chromis instead

How are those 4 Firefish working for you? There's a lot of controversy about keeping them in groups, pair, or single. Also, I'd be wary of the red coris wrasse... I hear theyll rip apart reef tanks. I had a yellowtail damsel before, and they were less aggressive than my clowns, but each ones differently. Try a larger tank, lots of rocks and caves, and go for a mellower damsel (Yellowtail Damsel would be one).

might want to consider a royal gramma, nice colors (not blue) but I've had good luck with one and it adds a nice pop of color.

I've had a couple Blue Chromis for about 5 years now and they're only aggressive with each other. I haven't seen them go after any of my other fish.
