So as I'm heading to the back of the house I walk past my apex display and notice the help reads 82.5. The temp is set to come on at 77 and shut off at 78. So I quickly check the amps and see it is indeed pulling the amount it does when the heater is on. I then double check with a manual check by touching the heater in the sump and its on. It a titanium heater with only the apex as the control. I then pulled the power supply and reset the apex unit and it shuts off. Now I'm a little freaked out though cause if I hadn't noticed I would have woken up to a dead tank. Why would it stick and has anyone ever had this issue with their apex unit sticking on them? Two years running with it and no issues until today

good thing that you checked Chris. Did you set alarm for it when the temperature reach to certain temp on your apex ? I heard stories that apex stuck on and destroyed tanks (like halides, led on on for couple days.). I would suggest switching different outlet for heater and set your heater controller to 80 max.

Text me what port # your apex is on. It's in the Net Setup menu of the apex.

Run a Eheim :) It's nice to have that little extra protection with the internal thermostat on the Eheim

its pretty easy. i did it last night download the zip file from neptunes. unzip it. then run the flash utility enter the apex ip and hit update. after its done clear browser cache. and hit the second button. make sure you connect the apex to the network with a lan line and dont loose power when you doing this.
