Anyone else use it?

So when I tested the Calcium: It took me around 20 drops of #2 to get to the blue color. So this means my Calcium is to high? if it is/how do I lower it?

When I tested KH: It took around the same 20 drops to change the color from blue to yellow. same thing? to high?

How would i lower these levels.
Seems like Ive been having trouble getting all my params leveled off.

Sometimes this is frustrating. lol:noidea:

It seems like the life in the tank are happy though:pizza:

for calcium 20x20 = 400ppm calcium almost right on target.
20 drops for alk? this seems wrong unless its a newer model that im not aware of. the one i used uses 1 drop per 1 dkh.

The test kit should come with instructions that tell you how many drops=Ca levels. I don't remember if 20 drops meant high Ca. If it is high and your dosing for calcium, stop. If not, it would need to be used up by something. Never used the Kh kit and I'm no expert but I believe Ca and Kh go hand in hand. Hopefully someone with more experience can chime in

Edit
Never mind, everyone beat me to it

All things perfect calcium and alk are balanced. I forgot what the ratio is, but nevertheless it's easy to get it out of balance especially if your dosing calcium or alk unbalanced.

This is why I use a calcium reactor. The effluent is balanced, dosing by hand is not balanced (human error), doser is not balanced (mechanical error, unless you have a medical doser that has been calibrated regularly). (sorry not trying to steal thread)

correct 400 is what his calcium is. I like mine to be between 420-450. Your alk should be between 9-11 drops for it to change color.
