I beleive you use one of the switch type ports in the apex and you basically program it so when the water drops and flips the switch it activates a pump thats plugged into a physical outlet until the switch is back off again or 10 seconds so that if the switch breaks it doesn't flood.
You will need to purchase the Breakout Box and float switches. You can pretty much hook as many float switches as you want. There are 6 ports on the BOB but you can double, triple, quadruple the float switches for ail safes if you run the floats in parallel connection.
