This is something to tide me over until I get a new tank. The plan is to put softies and lps from my display, and a few fish I've had for many years.

I built a new stand as the one I got with the tank had some water damage and I couldn't trust it.

Lighting- 2 x AI Sol Blue
Skimmer- Eshopps PSK 100 HOB
Flow- 2 x Tunze 6045

Next on the list-

1. Cut AI Rail Kit to size.
2. Add more rock from my display tank.
3. ATO

Here it is after I added some rock from my sump.

Atta boy cowboy, I knew you could figure those simple lights out.
Biggest question is how do you figure what goes and what stays, as far as livestock.

I ran out and bought a connector cable from Radio Shack. The wireless adapter is just annoying. Not like its wireless anyway. I still need to program it though, but at least I was able to control the lights and manually change the colors. They are pretty bright... two over this tank is pretty nice I must say.

That's the hard part.

I'm keeping my mushrooms, zoas, and some favias and chalices. As for the fish, I'm keeping my two clowns, the Potters, the Leopard, and the Cleaner Wrasses. And (whispers) my smallish yellow tang temporarily. ;)

Does anyone have a similar sized tank? I was hoping I could get away with 2 x 6025 (@740 gph) that way I can store all my MP40s. That should be enough right? One right now seems like a lot of flow with the returns, but once I have more rock in the tank I think 2 would be perfect in each corner.

Should be plenty. I run 1 MJ1200 on my return and 1 MP10 for flow in my 30.

I just ordered some 8mm plastic tank clips for the screen top, and two in Tank media baskets.

I was thinking about replacing both return pumps for one MJ1200 for more energy efficiency.

I thought about doing the same. I have a JB30 but the JBJ pumps are 11 watts each and the MJ is 20 watts. I decided to leave as is, in case one goes out I still have flow. Not sure if the 45 has larger stock pumps than the 30.

I just noticed, if one pump is running, the tank is really quiet. But when both pumps are running, the tank is pretty loud. So I thought about replacing both pumps with a slightly smaller pump with less total watts. Or just running one of the stock pumps only.

If anything, its an all in one, and the tank will have a circulation pump so if the return goes out, its not that big of a deal.
