Hi all,
So apparently my kids wanna suprise me with a new fish for my birthday. My wife wanted to make sure she didnt get me an unreef safe fish. So she asked me what i was looking for, and it is a cool mandarin. Now i just have to find a local fish store that has one, so she can take the kids with her to get it(shhh, they dont know she told me). Anybody seen any??? I'm in Yorba linda, any help would be appreciated.

See if she can find an ORA one. They cost a little extra but they will already be eating prepared food and that's a bonus. Or get lucky and find one eating frozen at the store. I was lucky enough to find one that ate mysis a few years ago at Age. Of course If you have a huge tank with tons of pods none of the above really matters lol!

Socal in fullerton usually has the ORA ones. At least I assume that because they sell for 50ish

Get some pods and dump them in the DT first, how big is your tank? Any other fish that might eat all the pods before you mandarin? Best bet is to look at one of the sponsors here and get in a group buy reefs2go had a special on a mandarin goby and pods but i dont know if is still going on but worth a try.
